Hi! I’m Michelle

A’m a registered speech-language pathologist (SLP) with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). I’ve had the pleasure of serving people in a variety of settings (schools, early intervention agencies, hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, telepractice, and in-home private practice) and across the life span (as young as a newborn and as old as a centenarian). I am fluent in English and Tagalog.

At work and in all parts of my life, I am a team player, a cheerleader, and an advocate for access to communication for all. I love helping people develop the ability to connect with others and their world and helping them improve their quality of life. My approach to practice is client/family-centered, evidence-based, and neurodiversity-affirming. I strive to ensure that the goals we target are meaningful, functional, and made in collaboration with my clients and their families.

I am particularly passionate about supporting clients with early language development, language delays/disorders in people who speak more than one language, developmental language disorders (DLD), acquired language disorders (e.g., aphasia), speech sound disorders, phonological disorders, alternative/augmentative communication (AAC), dysarthria, and neurological voice disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s).

Outside of work, I love singing with my church choir, taking long walks, trying out new recipes, eating, reading, and learning.
